I have visited Rwanda three times. I volunteered at the Akilah Institute, a women’s college in East Africa, and met many young, brilliant women working towards a better future. I also taught myself some Kinyarwanda so I could go out into the markets and practice with local vendors. The country is beautiful and the people are friendly and optimistic.
